Ernest Chemists Limited (ECL) continuous to consolidate its dominance in Ghana’s pharmaceutical industry, emerging top winners at the 2023 Ghana Pharma awards held last Friday.
The company won two coveted awards, the company of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement in Pharmaceutical Awards, which was conferred on the CEO of Ernest Chemists, Dr. Ernest Bediako Sampong for his remarkable contribution to the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Ghana.
Ernest Chemists also won top spots in some of the most sought-after categories, namely the Retailer of the Year, the Product of the year won by ECL’s Aunty Mary’s Gripe Mixture and Community Pharmacy of the Year, bringing the total number of awards to five.
The annual Ghana Pharma Awards is the flagship award scheme instituted to recognize and honour excellence in the pharmaceutical industry.
Since its inception, ECL has remained one of the topmost winners, winning some of the topmost awards back-to-back.
Commenting on the awards, the General Manager of ECL, Mr. Yaw Bediako Sampong noted that the continuous recognition of Ernest Chemists’ contribution to the pharmaceutical industry is the dividends of decades of investment in innovation to bring quality and affordable medicines to the doorstep of its valued customers.
“The company has spurred no effort over the years in driving innovation to position itself as a centre of excellence in the pharmaceutical industry in Ghana and the African continent as a whole,” he added.
According to him, the company continuous to, with the aid of cutting-edge technology research into the pharmaceutical needs of society in line with staying true to its mission of providing a full range of quality pharmaceutical products at affordable prices.
