Ernest Chemists Limited has supported the Ghana Health Service (Neglected Tropical Diseases Programme) with the donation of Benzyl Benzoate.
It is to help with the treatment of an outbreak of scabies in the East Mamprusi and Sekyere Odumasi districts.
The donation which was a quick response to a request by the Neglected Tropical Diseases Programme (NTDP) for support to treat people affected with scabies in the various communities the in two districts was made on Friday, October 9, 2020.
The Brands Communication Manager together with a Brand Manager, Mrs. Sharon Anim and Mr. Samuel Twumasi respectively, presented the donation on behalf of the company, to help bring relief to the people in these communities with regard to the treatment of scabies.
The Brands Communication Manager, emphasized the commitment of Ernest Chemists to support to improve healthcare delivery in Ghana.
This commitment is summed up in the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) philosophy of “Improving Healthcare delivery, through quality medicine”, geared towards supporting for the attainment of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) in Ghana.
The Programme Manager, Dr. Benjamin Marfo received the donation and acknowledged the immediate response by Ernest Chemist Limited.
He thanked the company for the outstanding role they play in relation to the support of Health Care delivery in Ghana and added that, the medications donated will be put to good use to help bring the condition under control.
